First Week After Surgery
Swelling, tightness, and soreness are normal during the first week. Pain is typically well managed with medication. Patients wear a surgical bra and avoid lifting, reaching, and strenuous activity.
Most patients take about one week off work.
Weeks Two to Three
Swelling begins to decrease, and discomfort continues to improve. Many patients return to desk work and light daily activities. Bruising fades, and implants may still feel firm or sit higher on the chest.
Weeks Four to Six
Mobility improves significantly. Light exercise may be resumed with approval. The breasts begin to soften and settle into a more natural position.
Six to Eight Weeks
Most activity restrictions are lifted. Patients typically return to full workouts and normal routines.
Three Months and Beyond
Final results continue to refine as swelling fully resolves and implants settle. Scars fade gradually, and the breasts achieve a soft, natural appearance.
Supporting Optimal Recovery
Following postoperative instructions and attending follow-up visits are essential for long-term success and satisfaction.
